Wankurishka Ayllu

Get to know the Kichwa culture

‘Wankurishka Ayllu Canelos’, was launched in 2021. On Isla Anaconda, the women of the family bring guests closer to the Kichwa culture in various ways. For example, you can visit the family during a stay at the Liana Lodge. You can try a traditional Kichwa meal at Wankuriska Ayllu, freshly prepared of course. You can also watch a performance of traditional Kichwa dances and immerse yourself in their world. Or you can learn how the popular drink chicha is prepared and try your hand at it yourself. Alternatively, you can round off your visit to the family by painting ceramics. You can also learn how to make traditional jewellery and be shown how to knot bracelets in the traditional Kichwa way. There is something for every taste!
